Justin Stewart Cotta, Steve Clark, Space and Lats signed with Columbia Records as Memento in 2002. The band made many loyal fans from 2 years of touring the United states, capping it off with a highly succesful Ozzfest tour. Memento also opened for Audioslave, Papa Roach,Stone Sour, Marilyn Manson, Seether, CKY, Trust Company and Shihad. The Australian quartet were Top 40 at active rock radio with "Nothing Sacred" and "Saviour". By virtue of an extremely passionate regional fan base, Memento surprised the industry by reaching number one in the US with it's acclaimed video for "Nothing Sacred". 50000 records into a promising future, Memento went into hibernation.
